Skeletal System (muscles, bones and joints)
The skeletal frame of a dog contains 319 bones, and the muscle and tendon anatomy of a canine are very similar to ours. A major difference is that the upper body muscles of a dog bear half of their entire weight. Most breeds have the proper bone structure and muscle function to run long distances, depending on what they were bred for. The musculoskeletal system, like in humans , protect the dog's vital organs from harm. Poor nutrition can lead to problems such as arthritis, knee ligament damage, hip dysplasia, bone diseases, and inflammation of the muscle tissue (mytosis). Diets high in Vitamin C and Boron have been proven extremely beneficial in canine structural health.
Cardiovascular system
The cardiovascular system contains the heart, veins, capillaries and arteries, and is responsible for circulating blood throughout the body, regulating body temperature and maintains normal water and electrolyte balance. Just like in humans good cardiovascular health is achieved through a well balanced diet and regular exercise. Regular vet checks are also imperative to avoid problems such as heart worm.
Nervous System:

A canines nervous system is responsible for controlling most of your dog's functions: respiration, the rhythm and heart activity, digestive functions, reproduction and thermo-regulating. It also controls the body's balance and its movement and the muscular contractions. The nervous system also includes the five senses: sight, sound, taste, touch and smell. It has been determined that dogs don't just see in black and white and are able to differentiate between colors, and that they have excellent night vision. However, a dog's sense of taste is not as developed as ours, and so they rely on their keen sense of smell to determine if the food they are about to taste is good. A dog's sense of smell is its most powerful sense, along with its hearing and sight. A proper diet can insure proper develop and maintenance of the nervous system.
