Turkey Sausage Crumbles
Ingredients:
4 teaspoons virgin olive oil
6 cloves garlic, whole
1/2 pound sweet Italian turkey sausage
1.) Preheat oven to 325o F.
2.) In a pan, heat the olive oil and garlic over low heat. Remove the sausage casing and and add to the garlic. Break the sausage into little crumbles and cook until browned and crunchy. Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel. Remove the garlic.
3.) Sprinkle the crumbs onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes until dry and firm to the touch.
4.) Place the crumbles into a plastic bag lined with paper towel. Store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
